1986 Hayling Charity Cycle Ride

Funds raised: £1,500

Number of riders: 1

Pete McQuade decided to do a solo ride as part of a series of fund raising initiatives that he and other Hayling Islanders had organised for Cot Death Research. This followed the death of friends' baby daughter. He was a novice cyclist and indeed had to go and buy a bike. He was very worried in case he failed to complete what he assumed was a one off ride.
